Generally, a crossarm that will be installed on a metal post will require a U-bolt specific to your stake, while a crossarm that will be fastened to a wood post will utilize screws and/or lag bolts. An interesting characteristic of non-galvanized metal crossarms is that they oxidize in time, giving them an appearance resembling wood that allows them to blend into the vinery.
There are several varieties of Lyre System Crossarms. When selecting the right choice for your vinery, consider row width, trellis width, number of wires, overall trellis height, and type of line stake for mounting your lyre. Typically, the most common is 36” x 36” x 36” with a 42” spread at the top. We can also customize these crossarms.
