Job Title: Forklift/Machine Operator
SUMMARY:
Drives propane/gas forklifts to push, pull, lift, stack, load and move various products and materials in storage areas, racks, onto flatbed trucks, and other various vehicles. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive forklift and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions lifting device under, over, or around materials and transports materials to designated area. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device. Fills fuel tank and perform minor maintenance techniques. May operate machines (Band Saw, Chop Saw, Shear, Radiograph) in the Yard when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Inspect product load for accuracy, and safely move it around the warehouse/yard or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery to its destination.
- Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
- Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
- Weigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.
- Provide customer service to clients in pulling their orders.

SUMMARY: Drives flat bed semi-truck and/or Bobtail truck to transport and deliver products and materials in loose or packaged form.

- Drives loaded truck to various destinations including Los Angeles area, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
- Inspects trucks for defects before and after trips.
- Maintain a log of daily activities.
- May assist other workers in loading and unloading trucks..

- Plans, coordinates, and supervises the administration of the process of receiving sales orders and the conversion into picking orders
- Plans delivery by organizing truck loads and routing schedules
- Develops and distributes orders for selecting materials and selecting tag orders
- Coordinates delivery and rack pickup with the customer, the day shift and sales department
- Coordinates selection and staging of materials
- Coordinates with Inventory Control Supervisor for the tagging and labeling of materials.

Our Calistoga, CA location is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Clerk for their Vineyard Products Division. The Vineyard Products Division sells steel trellis materials and all trellising products for vineyard installation and fruit orchard trellising.
The individual must have excellent communication skills and strong computer skills in Excel and Word. The individual will be performing a wide range of duties including but not limited to: operating a forklift to load and unload material, assist customers via phone, email, fax and/or in person, inputting orders and checking inventory, make deliveries to various customers and other duties as assigned.
The person must be forklift certified or the ability to be forklift certified, must have an acceptable DMV record (printout required), knowledge of steel trellis materials and trellising products, and 6 months experience in customer service. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred, but not required.
